Parsons Named To All Conference; Herkimer Cross Country Successful At Conference Meet

The men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Mountain Valley Conference meet this weekend hosted by Mohawk Valley.  The General's results are as followed:

WOMEN

Mollianne Parsons earned herself All Conference Recognition by placing 7^th in the 3.1 mile course with a time of 22:28.  Teammates Melissa Wagner and Stephanie Bergstrom were just shy of recognition finishing 10^th and 11^th respectively with finishes in 23:28 and 23:30.  Serena Sweeney had a strong race coming in 16^th overall in a time of 25:20 and Emmalee Kelting rounded out the women's team in 22^nd place in a time of 29:44.

MEN

Sophomore leader, and SUNY Cobleskill prospect, Eric Green continued to control the Generals mens team finishing the 4 mile course in 25^th place overall with a time of 25:11.  Freshman Jacob Witter really stepped up finishing 36^th overall in a time of 27:33.  Jake Raner, Jose Maldonado, TJ Gollegly and Corey Grayson finished 38^th, 39^th, 40^th and 41^st respectively with times of 28:33, 28:45, 28:53, and 30:40.  The team was rounded out by freshman Tyler Campbell that finished 43^rd despite getting lost on the course, with a time of 39:29.

The Generals next compete in the Regional competition hosted by SUNY Delhi on Saturday October 31^st.
