Julie DelMedico has served as the head coach for cross country since 2006. A graduate of Sauquoit Valley High School (2002), DelMedico was a four-sport varsity athlete participating in cross country, soccer, basketball and track and field. She went on to play basketball at SUNY Geneseo.

In addition to cross country, DelMedico has served as the assistant coach for HCCC's track and field teams, since 2006.  Under her guidance, DelMedico has helped yield an individual national champion: Sarah Lazarus, in the 800 and 1,500 meter races (2007).  In 2008, she helped coach the women's track and field team to a Regional and National Championship, including two individual champions: Amanda Davy - 400 Hurdles, and Chantal Salamone - 100 Hurdles. In 2010 women’s track and field found success again, winning their second Regional and National Title in three years, at which time DelMedico was named female assistant coach of the year.

DelMedico holds a B.A. from SUNY Geneseo and is currently working toward a master's degree at SUNYIT. In addition to her coaching duties, she is employed as a technical assistant in the College's fitness center and is an adjunct professor in sociology, psychology and non major’s physical education.
