(In game one Shannon McCann drove in two runs from the ninth spot in the lineup).

(Elyssa LeBaron went 3-for-3 in game one with three runs batted in for the Generals).

HERKIMER, NY – Hosting their final regular season doubleheader on Saturday (5/7) against Finger Lakes, the #2 Herkimer Generals softball team remained undefeated at home defeating the Lakers 12-0 and 10-1.

Helping the Generals (26-5, 13-0) in the circle was Jacqueline Gardner (Syracuse, NY) in game one and Casey (Levittown, PA) in game two. Both pitched complete games, watching Gardner allow one hit in her five innings and Boltersdorf allow two. Gardner got her second shutout of the season, helping her to a 5-0 record on the season. As for Boltersdorf, it was her fourth outing allowing one run or less in an appearance, now with a 9-2 record.

Offensively, Herkimer’s lineup managed double digit hit totals again, getting big contributions from Elyssa LeBaron (Corning, NY), Taylor Daniels (Watervliet, NY), Shannon McCann (Horseheads, NY) and Lindsey Parese (Herkimer, NY). LeBaron went 6-for-7 in the doubleheader with three runs scored and five runs batted in. Daniels went 4-for-6 with three runs scored and three runs batted in. McCann went 2-for-3 in game one with two runs and two RBI. Parese went 1-for-4 in the doubleheader with two runs and two RBI.
