Herkimer College’s Baseball Standout Brandon Hubbard selected Second Team All-American by NJCAA

Brandon Hubbard, of Rockville, MD, was selected as a 2017 Division III Baseball Second Team All-American by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). Hubbard was also an All-Conference and All-Region selection. .Hubbard hit .453 for the Generals this year holding down the third spot in the batting order for the majority of the season. He was tied for first on the team in RBI’s with 42 and added 19 doubles with two home runs.

Hubbard graduated in May 2017 with an A.A. degree in General Studies. Hubbard will be attending Campbellsville University on a scholarship where he will play for Beauford Sanders who enters his 27th season as head coach.

Head Coach Jason Rathbun stated, “Hubbs had a great season and really stepped up to be a rock in the middle of the order for us. He improved so much during his two years here and he really became a feared hitter his sophomore season. He is a great young man and we wish him the best of luck in his future.”
