Herkimer Baseball has 4 Sophomores commit to 4 Year Schools.
Herkimer, NY - Four standout players have committed to their four year schools after their sophomore seasons here at Herkimer. These four players are a part of a large returning sophomore group that reached the World Series as the nation’s #1 seed last year. “We are very proud to find the right fit for these guys after their time here at Herkimer. We have a few more standout sophomores that have yet to decide but with great options on the table! These schools are getting four quality student athletes and I am very proud of each of them,” Stated Head Coach Jason Rathbun.
Brandon Kruzinski- Lynn University DII –Boca Raton, FL
Brandon hit .330, with 7 doubles, 7 triples, and 2 HR last year with the bulk of his success coming late in the year in the post season. He is a super athletic CF with a rocket arm. Herkimer to Lynn has become a thing for Herkimer baseball players, Lynn just graduated 3 former General players including the conference player of the year and All American Pat Dorrian.
Keegan Leffler- UMBC DI-Baltimore, MD
Keegan had 11 appearances with a 4-0 record with 3 saves in 29 innings pitched he totaled 37 K, 7 BB, and a 1.86 ERA. Keegan was effective out of the bullpen as a freshman and then had success as a starter late in the year. The ability to throw 3 pitches with command and compete from the left side will make Keegan a very successful pitcher at the next level.
Ryan Lanaro- SUNY Albany- DI Albany, NY
Ryan finished the year with a 1-1 record and with a save. He had 23 innings with 22k and 3.91 ERA. The former Mohonosson standout will get to pitch close to home and play for long time head coach Jon Muller.
Brendyn Stillman- St. Bonaventure DI- NY
Freshman All American hit .422, with 13 doubles, 7 triples, 9 HR, 54 RBI last season. Stillman is a naturally gifted player with power to all parts of the field. The Bonnies program is coached by longtime head coach Larry Sudbrook.
