Felder leads Herkimer to road win at Clinton

Plattsburgh, NY - Senior Derrick Felder (Yonkers, NY) scored 17 points as the Herkimer Generals moved to 2-0 on the season with a 76-59 road win at Clinton CC on Sunday afternoon in Plattsburgh, NY. The win also gave the Generals, ranked # 4 in the NJCAA Division Men's Basketball Pre-season Poll, their first Mountain Valley Conference win of the 2018-2019 season.

Freshman Kory Bergh (Amsterdam, NY) added 15 points, hitting all 3 of the Generals 3 pointers for the contest. Senior Teshaun Beckles (Bronx, NY) also chipped in 15 points on the day, as the Generals took a 29-24 halftime lead and steadily increased their lead in the second half before winning by 17.

The Generals now look to Wednesday night, as they travel to Utica, NY to take on their longtime rivals from Mohawk Valley Community College in a battle of top 10 nationally ranked teams. The Hawks come into the contest ranked # 7 in the nation. Game time in the Hawks gym is set for 7:00 PM.
