Hines hits for 26 in rout of SUNY Adirondack

Herkimer, NY - Darius Hines (Troy, NY) scored 26 points, which included 8 3-pointers, to lead the Herkimer Generals to a 95-47 win over SUNY Adirondack on Wednesday night in Herkimer, NY. The win, the sixth in a row for the Generals, improves Herkimer's record to 9-1 on the year and 3-1 in Mountain Valley Conference play.

The Generals, ranked # 3 in the latest NJCAA Division III Men's Basketball Poll, got 17 points from Musa Pough (Brooklyn, NY) and 14 points from Teshaun Beckles (Bronx, NY) in the big win. Derrick Felder (Yonkers, NY) added 10 points as the Generals used a 28-6 run to start the second half to extend an 11 point halftime lead at 43-32 to lead 71-38 with 9 minutes remaining. Herkimer outscored the Timberwolves by a score of 52-25 in the second half to cruise home to the easy victory.

Herkimer will wrap up their first semester on Saturday, December 8th as they will host Onondaga Community College in the Herkimer Varsity Gym. The Generals and Lazers have hooked up with the last two Region III Final Fours, with the Generals winning on the Lazers home court to win the Regional Championship in 2017 and winning again in 2018 in the Regional Semifinal in Herkimer. Game time for Saturday's game is set for 1:00 PM.
