Rosaschi Green & Gold Male Athlete of the Month for April

HERKIMER, NY – Herkimer Generals men’s lacrosse player Charles Rosaschi of Highland Mills, NY was named Green & Gold Male Athlete of the Month for April, helping the program to the fifth spot in the Region 3 by seasons end in 2016.

Rosachi – an Education: Physical Education major at Herkimer College – started in every game for the Generals during the last month of the regular season. Other than the Generals 20-6 win over Hudson Valley in the second game of April, Rosachi played to the end of each contest, finishing the season with 667.18 total minutes played which was the ninth highest total in the nation. That wasn’t his only national ranking however as the freshman had the fourth most saves nationally, totaling 184 in 12 games. He saved a season-high 24 against Onondaga at home in the team’s final home game, tallying three 20-saves performances and nine double digit saves in total for the Generals.

“Charlie was the heart of our defense all season,” said Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach Jamie Ireland. “He played admirably in a win against Dean early in the season, and in each of our one goal defeats, keeping it close to give us an opportunity to win. We’re looking forward to having him back next season!”
