#7 Monroe CC uses strong second half to defeat Herkimer Men's Lacrosse

Herkimer, NY - The # 7 ranked Monroe CC Tribunes used a strong second half to break open a close game with the Herkimer Generals at halftime to earn a 20-7 decision in men's lacrosse on Sunday afternoon at Wehrum Stadium. The Tribunes led the Generals by a score of 6-4 at halftime before outscoring Herkimer 6-1 in the third quarter to extend their lead and get the victory.

Herkimer was led by Jace Babka (Draper, UT) who scored 3 goals and had 1 assist on the afternoon. Dylan Gruneisen (Potsdam, NY), Pat Gribbon (Stone Ridge, NY), Eddie White (Utica, NY), and Spencer Parks (Niskayuna, NY) added single goals for the Generals in the loss. Jack Babka (Draper, UT) had a season high 26 saves on the day for Herkimer.

The loss drops the Generals record to 4-2 on the year. Next on tap for Herkimer is a trip to Syracuse on Wednesday to match up with the defending national champions from Onondaga CC. Game time is set for 4:00 PM.
