Brian Forbes Names NJCAA Division III First Team All-American

Herkimer, NY - Brian Forbes (Rocky Point, NY) was recently selected for the 2019 NJCAA Division III baseball All-American First Team as a designated hitter. Forbes led the Herkimer Generals to a record of 35-6-2 in 2019 as the Generals won their second straight Region III Championship and participated in the 2019 Division III World Series in Greeneville, Tennessee.

Forbes, a sophomore, hit 15 home runs and had 66 RBI's in the 2019 season; both of which are Herkimer College school records. He had a .433 batting average with a .506 on base percentage and a slugging percentage of .903. Forbes will continue his player career at NCAA Division II Limestone College in Gaffney, South Carolina in the fall.

Coach Jason Rathbun said, "Brian went from three homeruns as a freshman to 15 in one year. That is a direct reflection of his character and work ethic. He is one of the most responsible student athletes I have ever been around. I am so glad his hard work paid off."
