The 2017 season will be Emily’s fourth season as an assistant coach for the General’s softball program. She played softball at Herkimer from 2010-2011, joining P.J. Anadio in his inaugural season as head coach.
Woudenberg was named a two-year captain and two-year MVP as a utility player for the Generals. Her sophomore (2011) team earned a Mountain Valley Conference Championship and placed second at the Region III tournament. That same season, Woudenberg earned second team All-American honors as an outfielder.
After Herkimer, Woudenberg transferred to SUNY Cortland and played softball under NFCA Hall of Fame Head Coach Julie Lenhart. As a senior, her team earned a regional championship and a trip to the National Championship tournament in Wisconsin where they took home the second place trophy.
From Cortland, Emily graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Science in Physical Education. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Management of Leisure Services at SUNY Cortland while substitute teaching locally and coaching at Herkimer College.
