Generals lose in National Quarterfinal thriller to Rowan-Gloucester

Clark, NJ - The #5 Herkimer Generals Women's Soccer team dropped a 2-1 thriller to #4 Rowan-Gloucester in the 2020-2021 NJCAA Division III National Quarterfinal Game at Union County College in Clark, NJ. The loss drops the Generals record to 3-4 for the Spring Season.

After falling behind with 13 minutes left in the first half, Kayla Suppa (Oneida, NY) tied the score just one minute later with a great goal to tie the score at 1. But Rowan-Gloucester scored what would turn out to be the game winning goal in the 39th minute to take a 2-1 lead at the half they would not relinquish.

Kurstin Gay (Herkimer, NY) made 11 saves in goal for Herkimer, who will play their final game of the Spring campaign on Thursday morning at 11:00 AM in a National Consolation game vs #8 Suffolk CC, who lost their quarterfinal to # 1 Brookhaven on Thursday.
