Lady Generals score early and often against Bobcats

SYRACUSE, NY – Jumping out quickly with two goals in the first 10 minutes against Bryant & Stratton College, the Lady Generals added to their current four-game win streak Saturday, beating the Bobcats 4-2 Saturday afternoon.

Herkimer's (7-1-1) offense was ignited by Jessica Williamson (Mexico, NY) and Julia Jaikin (Dolgeville, NY) initially. Finding both players for the 2-0 lead was Kalli Warmingham (Newport, NY) in the 6th and 10 minute of play.

Answering right back with two goals of their own was Bobcats' forward Amanda Belsito. Both goals, each unassisted, tied the game at 2-2 in the 28th minute.

The Lady Generals ended the half on a positive note, gaining the lead again (3-2) in the 42nd minute after Warmingham tallied her third assist to teammate Danielle Nicosia (Oneonta, NY).

Forward Emily Rexford (Canton, NY) padded the lead in the 47th minute with her sixth goal of the season, giving Herkimer the 4-2 lead and Warmingham her fourth assist in the game and 10th on the season.

In the net for Herkimer was Kristi Bills (Northville, NY). In 90 minutes of play, Bills had five saves.

The Lady Generals, who've now scored 19 goals in their current five-game win streak, will complete their current four-game away stand at Hudson Valley Community College on Wednesday (10/2). Start time is 2 p.m.
