Pitching By Puppolo Shuts Out Dutchess, Herkimer College Generals Takes The Win

Kali Puppolo threw a shutout to lead Herkimer College Generals past Dutchess 25-0 on Friday.

Keeanna Wolcik collected four hits in five at bats to help lead Herkimer College Generals to victory. Wolcik homered in the first, singled in the fourth, homered in the fifth, and doubled in the fifth.

Herkimer College Generals fired up the offense in the first inning. Brooke Snyder grounded out, scoring one run.

Herkimer College Generals put up 11 runs in the fifth inning. The offensive onslaught by Herkimer College Generals was led by Wolcik, Taylor Zaino, Shannon Moore, Snyder, Morgan Sgarlata , and Madisyn Butler, who each had RBIs in the inning.

One bright spot for Dutchess was a single by Julia Sorrentino in the first inning.

Puppolo was the winning pitcher for Herkimer College Generals. She allowed two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out ten and walking zero.

Madison Hadley took the loss for Dutchess. She lasted five innings, allowing 25 hits and 25 runs while striking out two.

Herkimer College Generals racked up 25 hits in the game. Jennah Hogan, Wolcik, Snyder, Zaino, Alicia Swavely, Butler, Katelyn Stubbs, Moore, and Sgarlata all managed multiple hits for Herkimer College Generals. Hogan led Herkimer College Generals with five hits in five at bats.

Keeanna Wolcik didn't allow a single run against Dutchess, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Herkimer College Generals to a 29-0 victory on Friday

Julianna Finnerty collected five hits in five at bats to help lead Herkimer College Generals to victory. Finnerty doubled in the first, doubled in the second, singled in the third, doubled in the fourth, and doubled in the fifth.

Herkimer College Generals got things started in the first inning. Herkimer College Generals scored one run when Maria Dinigro singled.

Herkimer College Generals scored nine runs in the second inning. Herkimer College Generals's big bats in the inning were led by singles by Dinigro, Hunter Vanarnum, and Biz Toscano, a triple by Kaylee Ciccarone, and a home run by Aiyana Roupp.

One bright spot for Dutchess was a single by Kayleigh Muggeo in the fifth inning.

Finnerty, Dinigro, and Vanarnum all had five hits to lead Herkimer College Generals. Herkimer College Generals didn't commit a single error in the field. Toscano had the most chances in the field with ten.

Muggeo led Dutchess with one hit in two at bats.

 

Two Pitchers Work Together as Herkimer College Generals Defeats Tompkins Cortland in Shut-Out

Herkimer College Generals defeated Tompkins Cortland 23-0 on Saturday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Hunter Vanarnum induced a fly out from Emily Aloi to finish off the game.

Brooke Snyder led Herkimer College Generals to victory by driving in six runs. She went 3-for-4 at the plate. Snyder drove in runs on a double in the first, a double in the first, and a single in the fourth.

Herkimer College Generals got things moving in the first inning. Brianna Stafford's wild pitch allowed two runs to score for Herkimer College Generals.

A single by Bailey Rose in the fourth inning was a positive for Tompkins Cortland.

Kali Puppolo took the win for Herkimer College Generals. She went four innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out ten and walking one. Vanarnum threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.  Stafford took the loss for Tompkins Cortland. She went three innings, allowing 13 runs on ten hits.

Herkimer College Generals saw the ball well today, racking up 13 hits in the game. Snyder, Madisyn Butler, Taylor Zaino, and Keeanna Wolcik all managed multiple hits for Herkimer College Generals. Butler and Snyder each managed three hits to lead Herkimer College Generals. Herkimer College Generals didn't commit a single error in the field. Morgan Sgarlata had ten chances in the field, the most on the team.

Herkimer College Generals defeated Tompkins Cortland 13-0 on Saturday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Brooke Snyder struck out Tessa Hilker to finish off the game.

Herkimer College Generals secured the victory thanks to seven runs in the fifth inning. Kali Puppolo, Caitlin Handy, Kaylee Ciccarone, Maria Dinigro, and Puppolo all drove in runs in the frame.

Herkimer College Generals got things started in the first inning when Bailey Rose induced Dinigro to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

Herkimer College Generals notched seven runs in the fifth inning. Herkimer College Generals batters contributing to the big inning included Puppolo, Handy, Ciccarone, Dinigro, and Puppolo, all driving in runs in the frame.

A single by Ashley Aloi in the first inning was a positive for Tompkins Cortland.

Toscano and Puppolo each managed three hits to lead Herkimer College Generals. Herkimer College Generals didn't commit a single error in the field. Toscano had eight chances in the field, the most on the team.

Aloi went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Tompkins Cortland in hits. Tompkins Cortland was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Amanda Green made the most plays with three.
