BATAVIA, NY – Collecting their eighth doubleheader sweep of the season Saturday (4/25), the Herkimer Generals softball team defeated Genesee Community College 8-2 and 11-0, on the road, ending a five-game win streak for the Cougars and increasing the Generals current win streak to 16.

Dana Nicoletti (Syracuse, NY) and Brittany Ormond (New Paltz, NY) got the starts in both games, collecting their fifth and seventh completes games of the season respectively. Nicoletti went seven innings for the fifth time, allowing two runs on six hits, striking out a season-high 12 Cougars for her fifth straight win. Capasso went 6-for-6 in the doubleheader with a season-high six runs batted in both games, giving the sophomore 17 RBI this season.
