Dianna Ste-Marie was hired as the head coach of the women's lacrosse program in 2007. A five-sport athlete at the Town of Webb High School (Old Forge, NY), Ste-Marie played soccer, basketball, softball, volleyball, and ran cross country and track. She was also a two-sport athlete at the collegiate level, playing both soccer and softball for SUNY Morrisville, where she was named captain and MVP of her soccer team.

Ste-Marie coached and taught at the high school level for six years. During that period, she coached five undefeated soccer teams and five successful varsity volleyball teams with three undefeated seasons, three division championships, a sectional championship and a regional championship.

In the fall of 2006, Ste-Marie joined the staff of Herkimer College as a physical education instructor and assistant women's lacrosse coach. In 2007 she was named Head Coach of the Women’s Lacrosse team. In Ste-Marie's first year, the women's lacrosse team took second place in the regional tournament which got the team a spot in the national tournament.

In 2007, Coach Ste-Marie was also named Region C Coach of the Year. In 2010 she was nominated and voted in as Coach of the Year by her peers.

Ste-Marie has continued to advance the program into a strong and well respected team in the region. Her main goal is to assist her players with their futures by insisting they work hard here at Herkimer College so they are prepared to continue playing at the next level of lacrosse, many times with scholarship assistance.

Coach Ste-Marie holds an A.S. in Individual Studies from SUNY Morrisville, a B.S. in Physical Education and an M.S. in Adaptive Physical Education from SUNY at Cortland.
