Herkimer College announces cancellation of high-risk winter sports

After careful thought, consideration, and dialogue, 27 of the 30 SUNY Community Colleges that are members of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) have collectively decided to cancel intercollegiate competition for 2020-2021 indoor sports that are considered “high risk” for COVID-19 exposure and spread of infection.

HERKIMER, NY – Coming from down two sets at home on Wednesday (10/7), the Herkimer Generals women’s volleyball team won the final three sets in the varsity gym against rival Hudson Valley for the 3-2 conference win.

UTICA, NY – The Herkimer Generals women’s volleyball team faced Monroe, Genesee and Finger Lakes at Mohawk Valley Community College on Saturday (10/3) in a POD, losing to the Tribunes, Cougars and Lakers 3-0.
