The women's volleyball team was on the road this weekend for a three game POD match.  Herkimer defeated Niagara in the first game by getting offensive help from sophomore Marica Bellico (Naples, Italy), freshman Paige Klock (Herkimer, NY), and freshman Kimmie Buckley (Herkimer, NY).  The three women combined for eight blocks and fourteen kills to guide the Generals past Niagara.

Bellico would manage a season high nine kills and twelve digs in the second match versus Erie Community College.  Teammate Paige Klock would also earn a season high with seven kills against Erie.  Sophomore setter Alex Jones (Canastota, NY) gained eight assists in the contest while playing a large role in helping Bellico and Klock set season highs.

The Generals would end up losing game three to Jamestown Community College 3-0.  Both Bellico and Klock led the offensive categories for game three.  The two would combine for nine kills and twelve digs.  Kimmie Buckley tacked on three more kills bringing her total to eight in the first two games.  Sophomore setter Alex Maunz (Canastota, NY) helped her teammates out by tallying six assists and five digs during the match.

Herkimer will be on the road for their next match against Fulton-Montgomery Community College.  The Generals will begin their match at 6 pm on Wednesday, September 13th.
