Herkimer Volleyball loses to SUNY Adirondack in Conference title match

Herkimer, NY - On Wednesday night, the Herkimer Generals celebrated Senior Night, and their Cancer Awareness match.  The Generals wore black jerseys, each bearing different colored numbers and nameplates, representing a form of cancer and a loved one who had been affected. The match was against SUNY Adirondack as the Generals lost 3-1 with scores of 15-25, 25-13, 17-25 and 17-25.

Leading the Generals was Kristen Brennan #3 from Amenia, NY with 8 kills, 1 ace, 7 digs and 3 Blocks. Ashley Bosco #20 from Syracuse, NY had a strong game with 8 kills, 3 digs and 4 blocks. The seniors Cody Gay #4 from Herkimer, NY defended the court with 30 digs. Crisneysi Mejia # 6 from Bronx, NY had 1 kill, 5 assists, 2 digs. Ashlin Glionna #2 from Hagaman, NY had 7 digs. Alexis Perkett # 10 from Remsen, NY had 10 assists and 6 digs. Kimmie Buckley #14 from Herkimer, NY had 6 digs, 1 ace, and 15 digs. With the loss, Adirondack won the Mountain Valley Conference title with a record of 5-0 as Herkimer fell to 4-1 in conference play.
