Generals drop 2 out of 3 at FMCC POD Matches

Johnstown, NY - The Herkimer Generals Volleyball team dropped 2 tough matches, while winning 1, at the Fulton-Montgomery POD tournament on Saturday afternoon in Johnstown, NY. The results of the day drops Herkimer overall record to 6-5 on the season. 

First they had a hard fought match against Broome Community college losing 2-3 with scores of 25-20, 18-25, 25-27, 25-17 and 7-15. Then they played against TC3 Winning 3-0 with scores of 25-19, 25-19, 25-11. Finishing out the day against Corning Community College losing 2-3 with scores of 23-25, 15-25, 25-15, 25-20 and 11-15. Leading the Generals throughout the day with 42 kills, 1 ace, 8 digs, 5 blocks was Evonna Mower (Jordanville, NY) Kerissa Marquissee (Mohawk, NY) had 5 kills, 4 aces, 69 digs, 1 block and 1 assist. Kayla Suppa (Oneida, NY) had 6 aces and 43 digs. Kiara Cherry (Poughkeepsie, NY) had 3 kills, 3 aces, 16 digs, 6 blocks and 75 assists while Kristen Brennan (Amenia, NY) had 1 ace, 11 digs, and 2 blocks.

The Generals now look forward to returning home for their next match against Hudson Valley Community College on Wednesday, September 25th at 6:00 PM. Herkimer is currently 2-0 in Conference play as they will host the Vikings in their second home match of the season.  Come out and support your Generals!
