Herkimer Volleyball gets road win at SUNY Adirondack

Queensbury, NY -  The Herkimer Generals Volleyball squad notched their first win of the 2021 season with a come from behind 4 set victory over the SUNY Adirondack Timberwolves on Saturday afternoon in Queensbury, NY. The win lifts the Generals record to 2-1 on the season.

After dropping the first set by a score of 25-20, Herkimer stormed back to take the last three sets by scores of 25-19, 25-18, and 25-18. Sophie Hyde (Mohawk, NY) led the way with 9 kills 3 aces, 3 digs, and 1 block. Kayla Suppa (Oneida, NY) had 4 aces and 33 digs while Sianna Kenyon (Ilion, NY) had 1 ace, 17 assists and 17 digs. Brittany McManus (Herkimer, NY) had 4 kills, 2 assists, 4 aces, and 15 digs in the win.

The Generals return home for a big Conference match up with their rivals from Mohawk Valley Community College. Game time is set for 6:00 on Tuesday, Sept 21 at the Herkimer Varsity Gym.
