Elora Wilmot, 2022 March Athlete of the Month

Herkimer NY-Herkimer College has announced its Green and Gold Athletes for the month of March.  They are women’s softball player Elora Wilmot (Cazenovia, NY) and men’s baseball player Ryan Packard (Oneonta, NY).

Elora Wilmot has been dominant for the Generals in the first month of the season. In the month of March, Wilmot had 3 wins with 2 complete games.  Elora has struck out 36 hitters in 22 innings of work, allowing only 6 earned runs on the season. Wilmot is currently leading Region III in Earned Run Average (ERA) and ranks 5^th in the nation with a 1.91.

Pitching Coach Jake Haney added “Elora’s ability to change and adapt so quickly to this level of college softball has been very impressive. She has worked tremendously hard on improving her already solid skill set, and continues to get better every day. We are very fortunate to have a student of her caliber here at Herkimer”.
