Amelia Bowman-McCoy, November Athlete of the Month

Women’s cross country runner Amelia Bowman-McCoy was named Green & Gold Female Athlete of the Month for November. Bowman-McCoy, a freshman and criminal justice major, was an All-Region 3 honoree at the Region 3 Cross Country Championships. She continued her season-long improvement to finish 18^th at the NJCAA DIII Cross Country National Championships with a time of 20:50.42 – missing the NJCAA All-American status by just three places. According to John Campagna, Generals head coach of cross country and track and field teams, Bowman-McCoy has enjoyed the season and ran her personal best in a 5k with a time of 20:29 to finish fourth in her age group, 18-29, out of 139 participants at a local event. Campagna said he is looking forward to watching her run outdoor track and field during the spring semester.
