Brendan Rusnack

Sophomore pitcher Brendan Rusnack has been named the Herkimer Generals Green & Gold Athlete of the Month for April after delivering a dominant stretch on the mound during a crucial point in the season.

Rusnack appeared in five games during the month, posting a perfect 3-0 record while giving the Generals a major boost in their playoff push. Over 23 innings pitched, he allowed just 23 hits and four earned runs while striking out 29 batters.

His consistency and command helped anchor the Herkimer pitching staff throughout April, as he finished the month with an outstanding 0.96 ERA and a 1.16 WHIP.

Rusnack’s ability to control games and deliver key performances in important matchups played a major role in the Generals’ success down the stretch. Whether starting or coming in during critical moments, he continually gave Herkimer a chance to win and provided stability on the mound throughout the month.
