Chase Clukey

Sophomore golfer Chase Clukey has been named the Herkimer College Green & Gold Athlete of the Month for May after an impressive finish to the 2026 season.

Clukey put together a strong spring campaign, finishing 19th in Region 3 with a scoring average of 83.50. One of his top performances of the season came at the Herkimer Invitational, where he fired a 79 to lead the Generals on their home course.

He saved his best golf for the Region 3 Championships. After battling through a difficult opening round and carding a 92, Clukey responded with an outstanding second-round score of 75 — the second-best round of the day among the entire field. His strong comeback helped him climb the leaderboard to finish 14th overall in Region 3 and earn All-Region honors.

Clukey’s determination, resilience, and consistent play throughout the season made him a key contributor for the Generals and a deserving recipient of the Green & Gold Athlete of the Month award for May
