Men’s Tennis falls to Adirondack in first match

HERKIMER, NY – The Herkimer Generals men's tennis team hosted their first match of the season on Wednesday (4/13), losing to SUNY Adirondack 9-0.
Playing well was Brendon Budd (Norwich, NY), Brice Jacobs (Munnsville, NY), Branden Garrett (Deerfield, NY) and Jared Vibbert (Onedia, NY). Budd and Jacobs did well in singles play, watching Budd take four and Jacobs take 10 games.
As for Garrett and Vibbert, both combined in doubles to take six games, losing to Christopher Walker and Robert Triambuck 8-6.
Up next for Herkimer is #10 SUNY Broome. The Hornets are 2-1. Match play is scheduled for 4 p.m.
