Providing the offense in game one was Taishi Terashima (Hiranai, Japan) and Patrick Dorrian (Kingston, NY). A double for Tershima in the first inning gave the sophomore 2 RBI's, going 2-for-4 at the plate. Dorrian hit his second home run of the season, helping the freshman to two RBI also, collecting seven in his first four games as a General.
In game two John Boland (Rhinebeck, NY) collected one double and two triples which helped the catcher to two RBI's in the game, going 3-for-4 at the plate. Joining Boland with a run batted in was Gregory Hotaling (Averill Park, NY). The freshman utility player went 0-for-3 with one RBI.
Herkimer will play its third doubleheader in three days on Sunday (3/15). They'll face Western New York Athletic Conference rival Niagara Community College at 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. The Generals knocked the Thunderwolves out of the 2014 Region III Final Four with a 13-5 win in the quarterfinals.
