Lanning Region 3 Player of the Week

HERKIMER, NY – Herkimer Generals baseball player Gage Lanning was named Region III Player of the Week, helping the baseball team to a perfect 8-0 record last week, improving their current win streak to 14 games.

Lanning hit .458 during the eight-game streak, totaling 11 hits and 12 runs batted in during four separate doubleheaders. The outfielder's highlight of the week came against Columbia-Greene at home when he hit a walk off grand slam in the fifth inning to beat the Twins 15-4. It was Lanning's second walk off of the season.
