The Herkimer Generals baseball team came away with a split doubleheader against Cayuga Community College, opening the day with a dominant shutout before dropping Game 2.
In Game 1, Herkimer delivered a strong all-around performance in a 10–0 win that was called after five innings. The Generals controlled the game from the start, setting the tone with clean pitching and steady offensive pressure. Christian Mikulski helped spark the lineup with two hits, while Adam Weiss made a major impact on the basepaths, scoring three runs. Jude Flint provided the biggest punch of the game at the plate, driving in three RBIs to help fuel the early and decisive lead.
Game 2 proved to be a tougher matchup, as Cayuga responded with a 7–1 victory to earn the split. Herkimer struggled to generate consistent offense, but Kyle Kristel continued to compete at the plate with two hits.
