Generals easily dispatched Erie on Friday, 13-2.
Generals opened the scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to three walks. Generals first got on the board when Tj Lemonis drew a walk, scoring one run.
Generals added one run in the second after Jude Flint hit a sacrifice fly.
Generals added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Christian Mikulaski hit a sacrifice fly, Kanta Miyabe walked, and Rect Shirakata walked, each scoring one run.
Generals scored five runs on three hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Mikulaski hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Adam Weiss singled, scoring two runs, Miyabe doubled, scoring one run, and a steal of home scored one run.
Justin Peralta earned the win for Generals. The starter surrendered four hits and two runs over five innings, striking out five and walking eight. Nick Gold took the loss for Erie. The pitcher went two-thirds of an inning, surrendering four runs on zero hits, striking out one and walking four.
Leadoff hitter Kyle Kristel led Generals with two hits in three at bats. Mikulaski, Miyabe, and Weiss each drove in two runs for Generals. Shirakata led Generals with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying 12 walks for the game. Generals stole three bases in the game. Generals were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Cooper Rowell made the most plays with five.
Elijah Williams, Ryan Boyle, Jimmy Buettner, and Zac Chrystian each collected one hit for Erie. Chrystian led Erie with one run batted in. The catcher went 1-for-2 on the day. Adam Scibetta led Erie with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating eight walks for the game.
