Kristel, Badalamenti, and Weiss Earn NJCAA Region 3 Honors
The postseason accolades continue to roll in for the Herkimer Generals baseball program as three student-athletes earned recognition from NJCAA Region 3 for their outstanding performances during the 2026 season.
The postseason accolades continue to roll in for the Herkimer Generals baseball program as three student-athletes earned recognition from NJCAA Region 3 for their outstanding performances during the 2026 season.
Sophomore infielder Kyle Kristel was named First Team All-Region 3 Infielder and earned a spot on the Region 3 All-Glove Team at second base. Kristel's excellence on both sides of the ball made him one of the top middle infielders in the region this season. In addition to his regional honors, Kristel was also selected to the First Team All-Mountain Valley Conference squad.
Sophomore pitcher Donatello Badalamenti was recognized as a Second Team All-Region 3 Pitcher following a strong season on the mound for the Generals. Badalamenti consistently provided quality innings throughout the year and was also named Second Team All-Mountain Valley Conference for his efforts.
Freshman Adam Weiss rounded out the Generals' regional honorees, earning Second Team All-Region 3 Infielder recognition. Weiss made an immediate impact in his first collegiate season, establishing himself as one of the top young infielders in Region 3.
The honors reflect the hard work and dedication of the Generals throughout the season and highlight the impact Kristel, Badalamenti, and Weiss had on the success of the Herkimer baseball program. Their achievements place them among the top players in NJCAA Region 3 and bring well-deserved recognition to the Generals' baseball team.
