Clukey Earns All-Region Honors at NJCAA Region 3 Golf Championships

The Herkimer County Community College golf team competed at the NJCAA Region 3 Golf Championships, a two-day tournament held at Chautauqua Country Club, with Chase Clukey earning All-Region recognition after a standout final round performance.

On Day 1, Brady Saunders paced the Generals with an opening-round 87, while Clukey carded a 92 to keep himself in contention heading into the final day of competition.

Saunders followed with a 92 on Day 2 to complete a consistent tournament for Herkimer. Clukey, meanwhile, delivered one of the top rounds of the championship, catching fire with a 75 — the second-best score posted during the final round.

Behind his impressive comeback performance, Clukey finished 14th overall in the regional standings and earned All-Region honors for the Generals.

The strong showing at the Region 3 Championships capped off a successful season for the Herkimer golf program, highlighted by Clukey's postseason recognition and several competitive performances throughout the year.
