Pederson, Macfarlane, Apolon Named NJCAA All-Americans!
This year is the first time since 2019 that the program has had at least three players achieve NJCAA All-American status in a single season.
The Herkimer College Men's Soccer program is proud to announce that three players — sophomore Kyle Macfarlane (Glasgow, Scotland), sophomore Dylan Pederson (Surrey, England), and sophomore Rood Apolon (Port au Prince, Haiti) have been named NJCAA All-Americans. This recognition marks the 74th time in program history that Herkimer athletes have received this prestigious honor, solidifying the Generals' reputation as one of the top NJCAA soccer programs in the nation.

Kyle Macfarlane - Midfielder (#8)
Macfarlane, a dynamic midfielder, finished the season with an impressive 25 points, ranking 16th overall in the NJCAA. His 7 goals and 11 assists reflect his ability to both score and create opportunities for his teammates. With a shot percentage of .259 and consistent performances across 12 games, Macfarlane's playmaking abilities were integral to the team's success.
Dylan Pederson - Defender (#5)
As a defender, Pederson showcased his scoring prowess with 7 goals, tying with Macfarlane in the category. His accuracy was notable, achieving a .389 shot percentage, ranking 51st overall. Pederson also converted 2 out of 2 penalty kick opportunities, demonstrating his composure under pressure. Beyond the stats, Pederson's leadership on the backline played a key role in the Generals' defensive dominance this season.
Rood Apolon - Midfielder (#4)
Apolon delivered a standout season, leading the team with 34 points—11th overall in the NJCAA. With 11 goals and 12 assists, Apolon was an offensive powerhouse, contributing to Herkimer's success in nearly every match. His three game-winning goals were critical in securing key victories throughout the season.
Herkimer College has long been recognized as a powerhouse in NJCAA soccer, and this year's All-American honors add another chapter to the program's storied history. Head Coach Pepe Aragon expressed pride in the trio's achievements, saying, "Dylan, Kyle and Rood have exemplified the values of dedication, teamwork, and excellence on and off the pitch that define our program. Their recognition as All-Americans is a testament to their hard work and the strength of our team as a whole."
