The Herkimer Men's and Women's track and field teams opened its season at the Ice Breaker Invitational held at St. Lawrence University
The Herkimer Men's and Women's track and field teams opened its season at the Ice Breaker Invitational held at St. Lawrence University.
The women's team finished in fifth place with 10 points while the men's team finished in sixth place compiling 14 points.
Freshman Cameron Borges (Newport, RI) began his career with a fourth-place finish of 11.52m in the Shot Put. Freshman Thomas Bennett followed behind with a seventh-place finish of 10.59m in the event.
Sophomore Amelia Bowman-McCoy (Oneida, NY) achieved a career-best in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 20:01.55.
Freshman Donnell Davis (Binghamton, NY) finished in fourth-place in the 800-meter run and seventh-place in the 1,500-meter run.
