The Herkimer College softball team earned a dramatic road sweep on April 8, 2026, taking two high-scoring battles from Onondaga Community College, 9–8 in eight innings and 22–20 in a slugfest that featured more than 40 combined runs in the finale.
In Game 1, Herkimer jumped out early with a three-run first inning and later regained control in extras to edge Onondaga, 9–8. The Generals finished with 18 hits and no errors, while Olivia Perry powered the offense with three hits and four RBIs at the plate in addition to pitching all eight innings for the win. Grace Neville added three hits and two RBIs, while Emma Carlton and Alexis Broderick also contributed multi-hit performances as Herkimer held off a late Onondaga rally.
Game 2 turned into an offensive shootout, with Herkimer outlasting Onondaga 22–20 in another wild finish. The Generals erupted for 25 hits, led by Alexis Broderick's monster performance, finishing with five hits, five RBIs, and a home run. Grace Neville stayed red-hot with four hits and five RBIs, while Autumn Roberts added four hits from the top of the order. Emma Carlton, Lauren Kelly, Emma Powers, Brianna Molter, and Ariana Ferraro all chipped in multiple-hit efforts as Herkimer kept pace in a back-and-forth scoring battle.
Emma Powers earned the win in relief, while Herkimer's offense continued to respond each time Onondaga threatened, sealing a sweep in one of the most explosive doubleheaders of the season.
