Herkimer put together a solid opening half, building a 10-point lead by the break. The Cougars made a push in the second half, but the Generals stayed composed, executing down the stretch to secure the eight-point victory.
Ava Nicholson provided a major spark off the bench, pouring in a game-high 26 points to lead the Generals' scoring effort. Her energy and shot-making proved to be a difference-maker throughout the contest.
Junel Beaubrun controlled the boards with a team-high 12 rebounds, while Jordan Bellinger facilitated the offense, finishing with eight assists as Herkimer continued to share the ball effectively.
The Generals will look to continue their momentum when they host the Corning Red Barons on January 18 at Herkimer County Community College.
