HERKIMER, NY – The Herkimer Generals women's lacrosse team host No. 1 ranked Onondaga Community College on Sunday at Wehrum Stadium. When it was all over, the Lazers defeated the Generals 23-3.
Herkimer 1-2 (1-0) had goals scored by Courtney Canavan (Baldwinsville, NY) and Alexis Caughey (Cortland, NY). Canavan finished with two goals and one assist, while Caughey finished with one goal.
Kristin Menge (Warwick, NY) started in goal for the third time this season. She saved 16 shots against Onondaga.
The Generals next game is against Broome Community College on Thursday (4/3). The Hornets will host Herkimer at East Middle School in Binghamton, NY at 8 p.m.
