Cornine Earns All-American Honors at NJCAA Division III Track & Field Championships
HERKIMER, N.Y. – Herkimer Generals sophomore Haley Cornine represented the Generals on the national stage at the NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, earning a sixth-place finish in the heptathlon.
HERKIMER, N.Y. – Herkimer Generals sophomore Haley Cornine represented the Generals on the national stage at the NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, earning a sixth-place finish in the heptathlon.
Cornine recorded a score of 2,096 points in the seven-event competition, placing sixth overall and earning three team points for Herkimer.
The heptathlon tests athletes across a variety of events, showcasing strength, speed, endurance, and versatility. Cornine competed against the top multi-event athletes in NJCAA Division III, delivering a strong performance to secure a top-six national finish.
Her performance marked a memorable conclusion to the season and added valuable points for the Generals at the national championship level.
Cornine's success at the NJCAA Division III Championships capped off an impressive year, which included a third-place finish in the 400 meters at the NJCAA Region 3 Championships and demonstrated her ability to compete among the best athletes in the country.
The Generals are proud of Haley's accomplishments and her representation of Herkimer College on the national stage.
