High School Coaching Legend Terry McKane Hired as Volleyball Head Coach
Terry McKane brings a championship pedigree and over three decades of coaching experience to the Herkimer College women's volleyball program. With a career record of 415-118 in the high school ranks, McKane is one of the most successful volleyball coaches in the local area. His résumé includes six Section III titles, 15 CSC League championships, and five selections as Section III Class C Coach of the Year.
McKane is also a seasoned educator, serving as a Physical Education teacher at Mt. Markham Central School, where he has long been a respected leader both in the classroom and on the court. In addition to his volleyball success, he has guided Mt. Markham's tennis program to four Section III Class C team championships.
He holds an associate degree from Broome Community College (1987), a bachelor's degree in Physical Education from SUNY Cortland (1990), and a master's degree in Athletic Education from West Virginia University (1994).
McKane's wealth of experience, proven success, and commitment to student-athlete development make him a valuable asset to the Generals athletics program.
