The Herkimer Generals baseball team put together a dominant sweep over Fulton-Montgomery Community College, controlling both games with strong pitching, timely hitting, and steady production across the lineup.
In Game 1, Herkimer set the tone immediately in a 12–0 shutout that ended in five innings. The Generals were sharp on both sides of the ball, never allowing FMCC to gain momentum. Kyle Kristel contributed offensively by scoring two runs, helping fuel an early lead that quickly grew out of reach as Herkimer's bats stayed active and the defense locked in to complete the shutout.
Game 2 brought more of the same offensive pressure, as the Generals secured an 11–4 victory to finish the sweep. Christian Mikulski stayed consistent at the plate with two hits, continuing to set the table and keep innings alive. Joey Gennario delivered a strong run-producing performance with three RBIs, driving in key runs during important moments. Jordan Ortiz also made a major impact by scoring three runs, consistently finding ways to get on base and cross the plate.
Across both games, Herkimer's lineup showed depth and balance, while the pitching staff helped keep FMCC's offense in check. The sweep reflects a complete team effort and another step forward as the Generals continue to build momentum this season.
