The Herkimer College Men's Basketball team traveled to Buffalo, NY, to take on the Erie Community College Kats in a competitive non-conference matchup. The Generals fell behind by nine points midway through the first half, but momentum shifted when Matthew Jolivert jump-started a rally with a key steal and timely scoring. Herkimer closed the gap to just two points by halftime.
The Generals carried that energy into the second half, taking the lead on a jumper by Kenny Freeman just three minutes in. Herkimer never trailed again, holding off the Kats down the stretch to secure an 89–86 victory.
Josiah Smith, Kenny Freeman, and Xavier Cardona all scored in double figures to lead the Generals' balanced attack.
