Herkimer battled throughout the second half and remained within striking distance down the stretch. The Generals pulled to within one point in the final minute, but were unable to come up with the tying basket as Onondaga closed out the game at the free-throw line.
Xavier Cardona led the Generals with a strong all-around performance, finishing with 15 points and 11 rebounds to record a double-double. His presence in the paint helped keep Herkimer competitive until the final horn.
The Generals will look to bounce back in their next matchup as they return home to host the Hudson Valley Vikings on February 3, 2026.
