Generals Lock Down Defensively in 88–69 Win Over Hudson Valley

The Herkimer College Generals returned home and turned in a strong all-around performance, defeating the Hudson Valley Vikings 88–69.
After a competitive first half, Herkimer took control of the game on the defensive end, clamping down to hold Hudson Valley to just 31 second-half points. The defensive intensity fueled the Generals' transition game and allowed them to steadily extend the lead down the stretch.
Kenny Freeman led the way for Herkimer with a dominant performance, recording 26 points and 11 rebounds to secure a double-double. Freeman controlled the paint on both ends and set the tone offensively throughout the contest.
Josiah Smith played a key role in facilitating the offense, finishing with six assists while keeping the Generals organized and efficient.
The Generals will look to carry the momentum on the road as they travel to face rival Mohawk Valley on February 7, 2026.
