The Generals carried momentum into the break, holding a slim two-point lead at halftime after an exciting and competitive first half. However, Mohawk Valley's outside shooting proved to be the difference after the break, as the Hawks connected from beyond the arc to swing the momentum in their favor.
Josiah Smith paced Herkimer offensively with 17 points, while Xavier Cardona contributed on the glass and as a playmaker, finishing with eight rebounds and four assists.
The Generals will look to bounce back in their next contest as they return to action against the Clinton Cougars on February 11, 2026
