The Herkimer Generals battled hard but struggled down the stretch in a 75-71 loss to the SUNY Adirondack Timberwolves in their final home game of the season.
The contest was tightly contested throughout the first half, with the score tied at the break. Both teams executed well offensively, setting up an intense final 20 minutes. However, the Timberwolves came out firing in the second half, connecting on timely shots and finishing the game shooting over 40 percent from the field.
Despite the Generals' defensive efforts, SUNY Adirondack's hot shooting proved to be the difference in the closing minutes.
Xavier Cardona paced Herkimer with 20 points, providing a steady offensive presence. Andrew Stallmer controlled the boards with 12 rebounds, while Josiah Smith added four assists to help facilitate the offense.
The Generals will look to bounce back on the road as they travel to face North Country Community College on February 18, 2026.
