Dryden NY – The Herkimer men's soccer team beat Onondaga CC 3-1 in the Region III A championship game today at Tompkins Cortland CC. Sophomore Nichlas Kamfjord (Sandnes, Norway) scored two goals to lead the way for the Generals. Kamfjord scored his first goal of the game in the 18^th minute off an assist from sophomore Yamato Fujishima (Saitama City, Japan). Kamfjord scored his second goal of the game in the 51^st minute off an assist from freshman Jon Sandvik (Skien, Norway). Freshman Shuntaro Morimoto ( Kanagawa, Japan) finished off the scoring in the 75^th minute off an assist from Fujishima.

Freshman goalkeeper Cathal Carney (Springfield, Massachusetts) recorded three saves in 90 minutes of action. The Generals qualified for the NJCAA National tournament at Genesee CC which will take place on November 9^th-13^th.
