BATAVIA, NY -- The Battle in Batavia came to an inconclusive finish after 90 minutes of play on Thursday night. The No. 10 ranked Generals ultimately played to a 2-2 draw against No. 5 Genesee, who scored a game-tying goal in the 85th minute.
Herkimer, who won nine straight games heading into the contest, were held scoreless in the first half, before Lydia Reimer scored two goals in a minute in the 57th and 58th minutes. The Generals held on to a one goal lead for almost 30 minutes before conceding a second goal.
The Women's Soccer team has two days of rest before heading up to North Country to take on the Saints on Saturday at 1:00 PM.
