The Herkimer Generals battled in an eventful doubleheader on the road against Hudson Valley Community College, earning a split in a pair of high-scoring contests.
Herkimer opened the day with an offensive explosion, defeating Hudson Valley 17–11 in a 10-inning slugfest. After trading runs early, the Generals broke the game open with a six-run fifth inning and later sealed the victory with a six-run outburst in the 10th.
Mack Harris led the charge with a massive performance, driving in seven runs including a home run. Jude Flint added a home run and three RBIs, while Brandon Hauk and Adam Weiss each contributed two RBIs. Kyle Kristel set the tone at the top of the lineup, scoring three runs and swiping two bases as Herkimer totaled 17 runs on 12 hits.
On the mound, Landon Seipp earned the win in relief, tossing 2.2 innings while allowing four runs and striking out three. Ryder Herchenroder closed the door with a scoreless inning to record the save.
Game 2 saw Hudson Valley respond, handing the Generals a 9–6 loss to split the doubleheader. Herkimer jumped out to an early lead, scoring in each of the first three innings, but Hudson Valley surged ahead with a six-run fifth inning that proved to be the difference.
Brandon Hauk paced the Generals offensively in the nightcap, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBIs and a pair of doubles. Christian Mikulski and Adam Weiss each drove in a run, while Cooper Rowell added an RBI as well.
Despite outhitting Hudson Valley 9–8, Herkimer was hurt by defensive miscues, committing six errors in the game. Kyler Ackert took the loss on the mound, working five innings and striking out four.
The split showcased both the offensive firepower and resilience of the Generals, as they combined for 23 runs across the two games while competing in a pair of tightly contested matchups.
