The Herkimer Generals were at home facing the Jamestown Jayhawks in Region 3 action. Both sides struggled to find offense in the first half, heading into the break scoreless.
The Generals opened the scoring early in the second half when Kai Bell found the back of the net off a setup from Vasil Brich in the 48th minute. Herkimer controlled the pace of play until the 73rd minute, when the Jayhawks broke through with a goal from Maximillian Axt. Just two minutes later, Jamestown capitalized on their momentum, adding another goal to take a 2-1 lead.
Despite several late scoring opportunities, the Generals were unable to find the equalizer and fell 2-1.
Herkimer will be back in action on the road Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 7 p.m. against Fulton-Montgomery CC at Gloversville High School Field.
