The Men's tennis team has made tremendous strides in the last
two seasons, culminating in its first Mountain Valley Conference
Championship in years. In May of 2008, the team placed third in the
Regional Championship tournament to eventual National Champion
Onondaga Community College and to runner-up Broome Community
College by a single point. With an overall match record of 7-3 in
2008, the team looks to take the next step toward a regional title
in 2009.
Fielding a mix of international, regional and locally grown
talent, HCCC offers a very unique team experience. The team
practices informally during the fall semester. Formal tryouts and
practices begin in early February. During inclement weather, the
team takes full advantage of the indoor gym facilities and track.
Indoor nets and balls are used on the synthetic surface in a
variety of ways to help players maintain their playing form.
